Jessica Speziale Announces First Southern Ontario Tour

The up-and-coming singer/songwriter is bringing her soul-infused pop/rock to cities from Ottawa to Windsor to support the release of her debut EP, Dear Reverie.  Tour stops include Hamilton,Ottawa, and Toronto.

Sultry, rich and fresh are a few words that fans, reviewers and media have used to describe this Toronto musician’s powerhouse voice.  A musical force to be reckoned with, Jessica Speziale will be bringing her version of acoustic pop/rock with the intent of Serena Ryder and the soul of Alicia Keys to cities across Southern Ontario  between May 25^th to June 22^nd 2012.

Hot on the tail of the release of her debut EP, Dear Reverie, Jessica is embarking on a 3-week Southern Ontario tour for the first time. 

Jessica Speziale was 8 months old when she went on her first tour: a trip to Las Vegas with her dad's band, Backstreet.  “Music's always been a big part of life in my house,” she says.  But while studying for a degree in business, she nearly gave it all up.  It took a break-up and a close friend's stint in rehab to bring her back to music.  “I picked up the guitar, and 2 hours later I'd written two songs!  I really see music as a calling rather than a choice after that experience.”

Jessica started writing music at 10 years old while sitting around the kitchen table with her father and his acoustic guitar.  Now, she has a growing catalogue of predominantly pop/rock songs.  Picking up the guitar and saxophone throughout school, Jessica performed with multiple bands and choirs.  She participated in several school musicals, one of which featured two of her original songs.

Since 2010, Jessica has been performing around Southern Ontario both acoustically and with her 4-piece band in venues ranging from the Windfall Eco Festival on an outdoor stage in Newmarket to the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto.

Recently, Jessica won second place in two local Battle of the Bands and her song Turn Me On was song of the Month for May and came in as song #3 in the Song of the Year countdown on Centennial College Radio show, The Original Soundtrack.
